This one’s for the kids!
In April 2011, Jason Rogers pedaled through the expansive deserts of the southwest on his mission to raise awareness and money for the Wounded Warrior Project. This quiet spoken guy from Waycross achieved this by riding from San Diego to St. Simon’s Island through all the weather conditions mother nature could through at him. As Jason says “All I wanted to do is raise cash for the more than 34,000 members of the U.S. armed forces who have been wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan and the 300,000 plus who will suffer from the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury”.
Well, if once wasn’t enough, Jason is in training for yet another ride of a lifetime.

Jason will be traveling from Key West in Florida right the way up to the Roosevelt Campobello International Park in Canada. His goal is to raise $30,000 for this journey of just over 2,000 miles will take Jason approx 3 weeks, all in the aid of the local kids in his home town of Waycross GA. Working very closely with the YMCA in Waycross he’s raising funds for the YMCA Camp Reveille program and also raising the awareness of children’s issues in GA such as childhood obesity.
When asked why he is planning to go from Florida to Canada, he simply smiled and said “Well, the other way round would be too easy, after all it would be down hill all the way” You have to admire Jason and I hope you will join us to help with his latest worthwhile project.
